Making Responsibility the New Accountability
Writing specialists Linda Adler-Kassner and Susanmarie Harrington encourage educators to move away from the language of accountability and toward the language of responsibility. While accountability often connotes failure, responsibility frames educators as responsible for their curricula and responsible to their students.
