The TAAS experience was a good one but I am not so sure it really helped me all that much. When I prepared for the TAAS my teachers would add a little more emphasis to writing papers but nothing that actually changed the way I wrote before then. I think the test is a good way to get a remedial english writer to pick up some skill on writing but when it comes to people that can pick up the information from the corriculum of a certain school it is useless to have the TAAS. Yet we all know that there are far more people struggling with the English language than people that aren't so it is good for the overall populous to have the TAAS experience. Like I said before it did little to nothing for me but don't make it seem that I am saying it is not a good help for many other people.

As far as the math portion is concerned I feel the exact same. It is good to test individuals to make sure the school is doing its job but really has no bearing of help or hurt to the education I received in school.

The TAAS experience was a mix of good things and bad things. As far a english goes they prepared us very well. The lessons not only worked for TAAS but actually were good for us apart from TAAS. They were well formed and made to be mildly entertaining. The other aspects however were not. We stopped learning the curriculum and began focusing on the TAAs only. While this was an excellent activity to help us make higher scores on the TAAS it left us somewhat behind afterwards. The lessons were often designed solely devoted to TAAS so for several weeks we made no advancements whatsoever in any class. Also our school enacted a special time during the day second semester only devoted towards TAAS studies. They took time out of our class for the first few weeks of the second semeswter just to teach s what questions to answer first. All in all I think the TAAS is a good thing to have but the schools could prepare for it in more effective methods.

The TAAS experience was absolutely useless. As a student in English classes we spent all of our time focusing on the TAAS test and it did not help. The TAAS was so easy they should have specialized classes for those who have trouble with it. We SHOULD have spent our time focusing on SAT and ACT including expanding our youth's vocabulary beyond "dude" and "that sucks". If schools are going to focus on a test they should focus on one that will help us in the future. For instance in my school we had two days a semester to focus on the SAT to prepare for college and we had to sign up they were not enough for us to actually prepare. The TAAS was a waste of time and material and too much focus was placed on such a trivial test.

The TAAS experience was ok in my english classes because I was in english AP so they hardly said anything about the English portion of the english test. I figure we were suppose to know already.

Theu rarely gave us packets and worksheets to do. We mostly concentrated on the writing portion cause that I think too more skill. I wouldnt actually say that it was a good experience for me cause the stuff on the test I already knew so the teachers teachings didnt really help me out very much.

The TAAS experience was very easy for me. My school made sure that we went through major preparation for this test. We did numerous activities to help us do well on the TAAS test. In English class we would take the first few minutes of class and review for the TAAS test and then we would go on with the daily activities. All of the questions for the TAAS test were a peice of cake to me. It was very simple so I did not have a hard time doing this test. Taking te test was easy I was not worried that I would not do well. As far a a good educational experience I would say no. I feel like a good experience is when I have a challenge and it was not even close to challenging. I scored high on the english TAAS test. My school as a whole scored well we were a recognized school for our grades on the TAAS Test.

The TAAS for me was a waste of time. Other than get me exempt from taking the tasp I see no point of taking the TAAS test. It is extremely simple and does not prepare you for anything.

The TAAS for me was a waste of time. The curriculum at our school spent a month out of class time and our class didnt even pass the 60% mark.

The TAAS is a verry easy test. It is written at an 8th grade level. The only thing I feeel that is great is the Writing Promt. The essays are so boring that people dont look forward to it. thats why its hard for people to stay awake during the test. Also u need to give us better reading passages to read cause the reading is also very boring. Its not appealing thats why people just guess.

The TAAS is basicaly a way to find out if the student has obtained the minimum level to get out of High School. I think that if a person pass a class or a grade it means that this person should have the level required for the next level witch there is no need for testing if the grading in GPA at High School wasn't so easy.
