I think the TAAS test was a big was of class time. In classes we started taking practice TAAS months in advance when we could have done more important things.

I think the TAAS test was a waste of time. It made me wake up early and go to school to take onw of the easiest test. The englisk part was no better then the rest. We do all the work in class. We take all the test in class and we pass them but we still have to take the TAAS. If the TAAS is not passed you can not graduate until you do. For some students that is unfair and for others it is just a waste of time. The only thing good I got from TAAS Was going to the Beach the years I didn't take it.

I THINK THE TAAS TEST WAS PRETTY STUPID. WE HAD TO TAKE EVERY YEAR AND IT DIDNT SEEM TO GET ANY HARDER. THE WRITING WAS THE EASYIEST I ALWAYS DID GOOD ON IT. IT WAS PRETTY SIMPLE SO I GUESS I HAD A GOOD EXPERIENCE BUT I STILL TINK THAT THE TAAS WAS STUPID.

I think the tests were extremely easy to me. I had to paid for the tests fee and spent some time. I think some international transfer students should receive exemption.

I thoought that the TAAS test was a big waste of time. The test was constructed of very basic reading writing and mathmatic problems that anyone that is able to make it out of grade school should be able to answer. The fact that they expect people to preform this test in high school is a shock to me. Maybe this test is good for some students that have a lot of truble in some of these areas to test them on certain sections but I belive that the diference between a student that needs help and a high school student that is doing well in school is quite obvious.

I thought it was really easy. I think it is a good way to see if people are ready to leave high school or whatever becuase basically if they dont know that stuff then they're definately not ready for college. It's also a good way to see if the teachers are really doing what they're supposed to do and teach us right. At my school it was cool they gave us a light breakfast for free some yrs. and candy to suck on during the test and it might just be a mind thing but sucking on the candy really does help. So I think the TAAS test is a really good way to see if people are ready to move on out of high school.

I thought that TAAS was so easy that it was basically a waste of time. I had no problem passing it at all. I did not do great on it but that was because I didn't really care enough about it to study at all. The only section that I had a little trouble in was math. As for the english side of the test though I thought it was a breeze. I got a 4 on the writitng without any problems at all and the reading section was just boring. I don't remember what I made but I alwost fell asleep. I think that if the state is going to do standerdized testing they should make it a little more of a chalange.

I thought that the TAAS test overall was a good idea. It is important to make sure that students know basic material before heading out into the real world. While the TAAS test did cover some basic knowledge I believe that it should cover more. For example History and Science should be included so that students won't just focus on the other subjects because they know they are on the test. I believe that the TAAS should be continued we just need to make it a little harder.

I thought that the TAAS test was bad for the curriculum in English classes. It caused classes to become more focused on preparing for the TAAS than learning anything else.

I thought that the TAAS test was made out to be too important through out the school year. We had weeks when all we did was practice for it. Many teachers just taught to the test and to me it seemed like a waste of time. I know that those tests are important to schools and the school systems but it became more important than class work or other tests. The test itself did not seem to be too difficult. I did not take English 1301 because I got AP credit in high school.
