I think that the TAAS test is a waste of time. It takes a few days just to take it and half of the year all you do in school is get ready for the test. The material in the test is so easy that you should know most of it before you even get into high school. If all the time that we spend preparing for and taking the TAAS we could actually be learning something instead of studying specifically for a useless test.

I think that the TAAS test is stupid. You can not base a students preformance on a standarize test. They should look at a students grades. As long as a student passes their curses they should be allowed to graduate without fear of not getting their diploma.

I think that the TAAS test was a big waste of time. It is a test of minimal skills and does nothing to help a student with more complex tests like the SAT test. When I took the TAAS test I got academic recognition on everything and got a 4 on the writing. When I took the SAT's however I found out just how much of a difference there was between the two tests. I feel that they should make the test somewhat more challenging to prepare students for what they are face with in the near future. If a student can't pass the TAAS test quite honestly they shouldn't be in high school. It's a good thing they don't let the students who haven't passed the TAAS test graduate.

I think that the TAAS test was a bunch of BS. I thought it was pointless and a waist of my time. Also I don't believe in test that much because some people just simply are not test takers. Take me for example I will know the material but when it comes time to take the test I tense up and end up bombing it. I believe that the TAAS test is irrelavant and high school students should not have to take this useless test.

I think that the TAAS test was a complete waste of time. My complete highschool experience was centered around passing the TAAS and after I passed it then we had nothing to do.

I think that the TAAS test was a good and a bad educational experience. I think it is good to test students to see how they compare with other students and to see how productive their learning has become. It is good to have an average level of where all students should be and are learning. This is shown in the test and it tests to see what you have learned throught your schooling.

I thought that the TAAS test was pretty easy and was just another reason to get out of class. It tested on the basics and was not timed so you could take as long as you would like. I went over every question twice so that way I would make sure that it was right and also waste time. I felt good when the scores came in because I had mastered all the subjects. In school they prepared us for the test a little bit but it was basically over stuff we should have already known.

The TAAS test is a bad educational experience because some students are not good test takers and get nervouls during the testing. Some people might freeze up during tests and blank out where they do not know the answers. I think overall it is an alright testing system and educational experience.

I think that the TAAS test was a good idea. I can remember the first time I took the TAAS in second grade. I was very scared because I had never taken a standardized test. They tried to prepare us for it but I was still very scared. The day of the test came and we were given fruit drinks and snacks. I then thought that this could not be all that bad. When I got to the writng part I was especiallly scared because this wsa my worst subject. The prompt ended up being something very interesting and I knew that my imagination could handle it. There is a tree with a hole in it what do you find when you go through it. This was the prompt. I wrote about a candy land with a princess and magical people. I ended up getting a 3 which was almost the highest grade. From that point on I was no longer scared of the TAAS and I was more confident about my writing. As the years went on the prompts got harder and I didn't do as well as I had the first time but I will always remember my candy land.

I think that the TAAS Test was a good thing in high school. Not because it was a challenging test but because it helped develop test-taking skills such as time management and critical thinking. I think that it was a good educational experience.

I think that the TAAS test was a waste of time because looking back I do not remember what I learned from taking it. There was no importance except to determine if you are "smart" enough to make it to the next level. I dislike those types of tests because you can not determine a person's ability on a standardized test. It is useless. I think our parents put us in school to learn not to be told how smart we are or aren't. Why don't the schools just spend their time actually teaching a subject rather than preparing for an exam. Honestly I dreaded taking it because I knew if I did not do well that was just something else that I had to work for. Working for something and setting a goal is an excellent thing but the goals should be worth something. The TAAS was a waste and I can't even remeber the types of questions that were on it because it had no significance. I remeber things that are important to my learning not to my failing.

I think that the TAAS test was an easy test for having to take it in high to school because it just went over basic things that I had already learned in middle school and it wasn't that much of a challenge as long as you did well in middle school. Also another reason why it might have been easy is because we prepared for it throughout middle school and in high school before we took the test which was good in a sense if you really tried hard to learn helpful things and hints to prepare for the test.
